Free Herbal Yoga Workshops

  • August 13th: Supporting Digestion & Detoxification

  • August 20th: Reducing Stress, Anxiety & Depression

  • August 27th: Boosting Energy & Building Immunity

Support your body’s innate healing powers with plant medicine and yoga. Please join me for FREE outdoor herbal yoga workshops generously funded by the Victoria Foundation and the Neighbourhood Small Grants Program.

In each of these three workshops (more information below) we’ll tour the common ground gardens of the Quadra Hillside Neighborhood, the traditional territory of the WS’ANEC’ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees) peoples of the Coast Salish Nation.

We’ll discover the nutritional, medicinal and magical properties of local garden herbs, wild botanicals, and even backyard weeds. We’ll discuss how to create simple herbal teas and nourishing infusions from these plants and herbs, and which to pair with common health concerns.

Then after sampling a little tea, we’ll move through a series of gentle and therapeutic yoga postures designed to support each workshops theme from soothing anxiety, supporting digestion and building immunity.
